Concert Press Release

A Mr. Bulk-E message to all PSU Employees:

The Southeast Kansas Symphony is presenting "Music from Near & Far" this Sunday, November 18th at 3:00P.M. at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium.
The Symphony will begin with the energetic Overture to Candide by Loenard Bernstein. Following the overture will be the emotionally stirring Concerto in G minor for Violin & Orchestra of Max Bruch, featuring PSU graduate student, Jonathan Gayman, Violin. Jonathan is the second of thre Concerto & Aria competition winners performing with the Sumphony this season. Lastly, you will be on the edge of your seat as you journey through 1001 tales in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. This work is a masterpiece and features many of the performance faculty from Pittsburg State University as orchestral soloists, along with several students which are being afforded the opportunity to enjoy performing this virtuosic composition!
